A-10 Thunderbolt
The A-10 "Worthog" is designed to be able to fly slow but still be able to maneuver to its target and take it out. In order to protect the pilot of the A-10 from 23mm calibre weapons he sits in a Titanium "Bath-tub" and also the cockpit has a bullet-proof canapee. To protect the plane itself and its systems it has self sealing fuel tanks, and the fuel lines to the engines are self sealing.
The A-10 has a General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger 30-mm cannon wich can fire 70 1.6lb armor piercing rounds made from depleted uranium a second and 4,200 a minute.
The A-10 has two General Electric TF34-GE-100 Turbofan Engines enclosed in pods.
