B-2 Spirit

 

The B-2 is an Advanced Technology Bomber (ATB) and has seen its first real combat in Operation Allied Force. Like the B-1 it to was also desighned to replace the B-52.

The B-2 is powered by four 19,000lb thrust General Electric F118-GE-100 non-afterburning turbofans.

Its maximum speed is 545mph above 40,000 feet and 569mph at sea level with a ceiling of 55,000 feet.

Empty the B-2 weighs 100,000lbs and at its maximum takeoff weight it weighs 400,000lbs.

The B-2 has two bomb bays on either side under the fuselage centre-section capable of carrying eight AGM-69 SRAM 2 or AGM-129A ACM or AGM-137 Tri-Service Standoff Attack missles.
