F-22
The F-22 Rapter is a single-seat supersonic air superiority fighter. and was the winner of a contract to make a plane to replace the F-15 Eagle in 1991.
It is a fly-by-wire, stealthy, radar equipped fighter. And can fly at Mach 2.2.
It has Two 35,000lb thrust Pratt & Whitney F119 augmented turbofans. With a take-off weight of 58,000lbs.
Each F-22 costs $59.4 million. And the first F-22 squadron is to become operational in 2002.
